Hi there friend!!

I’m Kayla Young- the owner of Moody Bleu Photography. My first experience with a camera was when I was given one on my 15th birthday, I didn’t know what I was doing with it until I reached college! I discovered my passion for photography during my freshman year which blossomed into establishing my own photography business 5 years ago + I’ve adored every second of it!! Before I discovered my dream I was working at H-E-B full time and really saw a future with them until one day I didn’t. I left to chase my dreams and never looked back.

I’m a small town girl navigating the city of San Antonio, TX. I grew up in the small town of La Vernia and I’ve always dreamt of exploring life beyond the countryside. I’m 24 years old raising 2 pups – Lola + Heidi and our cat, Piper!! I’ve been with my partner, Ryan, for 5 1/2 years and we enjoy going to the movies, playing putt putt, and learning about sharks!!! I have always said in another life I would be a storm chaser because I am just fascinated by thunderstorms + tornadoes. I find that my love for storms has a way of inspiring my work by bringing in the moodiness and inspires the unexpected. It’s like they say, “Life imitates art.” – Oscar Wilde.
